Arrrrrarara?

Interesting tidbit from the most recent EQ Producer's Letter:

"We are very busy right now on our next expansion and I can assure you that you will all be saying "Aarrr!" once it is done!"

P-pirate expansion? Maybe? Hopefully? O_O

Not that this would be the first EQ pirate expansion, but most people were busy with the other expansion features (frogloks *squee*)

If only pirates were a playable race in this expansion...the sad part is, people would name their characters after famous pirates -_-"""

Oh wait.

(click for full view)

They already do. Some other inane names:

Oh well...as long as there aren't anymore gnomish pirates. Although there probably will be -____-

With 11 days till Xmas...

...and with 2 days until my mom and sis arrive, I get a cough and a fever -_- This is very bad timing >_<

Well, this is the tree (I think it looks better in RL than on camera >_>)

And this is a garland of tiny roses on the tree...

And this is a feather light (<3 the feather lights)

Excuse me while I go take some meds... >_<

Hmmmmmm...

Here's a pic of my Xmas tree :D And the desk I'm planning on putting it on...
Crap.

It was the smallest size they had >_< I swear, the perspective makes it look worse than it is O_O""" Oh well, it's a nice tree that makes my room smell all fresh and pine-y :P It also has cute tiny pinecones!

Something to look out for

So I watched the new HP trailer on YouTube and decided to dig around for some more info on Wiki (heh, <3 t3h inTerNetz). And here's what I found:

"The two most famous 17-year-olds in Britain are to be linked on celluloid when members of Theo Walcott’s family make a cameo appearance in the new Harry Potter film. The footballer’s father Don, his mother, Lynn, and Ashley, 19, his older brother, have just completed costume fittings for their parts in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth film from JK Rowling’s series of novels, due out in 2007. Walcott himself had also been due to appear in the movie but had to pull out because filming schedules clashed with his commitments for Arsenal and England Under-21s. ‘I can’t tell you what scene it’s going to be because that’s a secret, you’ll have to have to wait and see,’ said Don Walcott."

Which means that, apart from going, "OMG I FINALLY GET TO SEE THE NEXT HARRY POTTER MOVIE OMG!!!" at the movie, I'll also be going, "OMG WHERE'S THEO'S FAMILY? IS THAT THEO'S FAMILY??!!!"

Sad, no? -_-

Let's see if this works...

Just trying to add snow to my blog :P

Update: Okay, as you can see, it kinda works, except the front page of my blog is so long that it takes a long time for the snowflakes to reach the bottom and loop back to the top -_- Which is why there are long periods without any snow -___-""" Oh well...ONE MONTH UNTIL XMAS!!!

Arsenal vs. Hamburg

YAY! Arsenal won 3-1 :D So now hopefully they'll get into the second stage of the Champions League...hopefully O_O"""

The good news is that I finally got to go into Emirates Stadium!!! It's so pretty in there O_O And finding your seat wasn't that hard either...just wish I had bought something to eat, I was getting hungry by the end of the match. And cold, very cold. It was 45 degress F outside =/ But oh well, that doesn't matter :D

Here are some pictures, hope I get better seats next time :P

The stadium. It's really dark, so you can't see much, but it's huge! There's also a nice restaurant inside it, but it's pretty expensive :P I think I'll try the snack bar next time...

There are 60,000 seats in the stadium. This photo really doesn't do it justice, since the roof above me is blocking the view :P

Players lining up at the start of the game. Arsenal in red, Hamburg in blue. The Champions League song was playing and everything, too (although not quite as amusing as "We Love You Freddie" which played during half time :P)

Almost ready to start the game here :D

He's probably gonna regret doing that

Something tells me that moon animal/alien thing is gonna turn out to be some kind of poweful being that's gonna want revenge for Enel zapping him like that :P It would be kinda funny if all animals on the moon were made of rubber or something, heh.

From the original creators of EQ...

Vanguard Video

Damn...it's pretty impressive (and sounds like it's designed to be freaking immersive O_O) I guess Vanguard looks promising so far, but no one will be able to tell until it actually comes out. Several important points, though (well, points I think are important):

1) No more separate zones/zoning - the whole world's continuous O_O I'm not sure my computer would be able to handle that, but talk about immersive...
2) No instancing, not even player housing - your house is not in some separate pocket of the world, it's actually THERE O__O
3) Monsters that fly/crawl on walls and ceilings - holy crap...

Heh, if Vanguard turns out to be really good and if I started playing it (big 'if' there, cause I can't play 2 MMORPGs at once and still be alive), I wouldn't be able to pry myself away from the computer... O_O

You've seen Hugh Laurie as House, M.D. ...

...now see him as what can be only described as "something else" :P

(He plays Lieutenant George - yes, the one in the drag - in Blackadder Goes Forth...

...and Prince George in Blackadder the Third, parts Two and Three of the episode here)

Heh, I remember watching these as a kid. Nothing like YouTube for digging up stuff to bring back memories (and to disturb friends, of course :P)

WHY.

WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAFTA RAIN WHEN I DON'T HAVE MY UMBRELLA?!

...

*cough*

Anyways, second week of classes and I'm having some more work to do. Not bad, though, just some reading. Still hafta find more textbooks though.

In other news, lookit this video I found of Colbert on YouTube (I seriously spend too much time there).

And lookit this news article. This is the kinda thing that would be funny on TV sitcoms, but yeah, humanity is doomed -_-

Freaky... O_O

So I was bored just now and went to YouTube to see if they had anything interesting...I stumbled onto this old clip of The Daily Show and thought it would be funny to see what the show was like before Bush was President. And, well...what Colbert said was kinda...freaky...

So, not only can he predict Oscar winners and Emmy winners, he can also predict the bleak, bleak future of America -_- (seriously though, that was kinda freaky)

The good news is that I went to Emirates Stadium (Arsenal's brand new, HUGE, HUGE stadium) today to take a look around :P I got some information on how to buy tickets to their games, and if the online application form would just work, I would be able to do that already -_- I also bought an Arsenal scarf and a very warm Arsenal throw from the gift shop <3 Didn't take any pictures, though, cause it was raining and I didn't wanna take a camera AND an umbrella. But yeah, the stadium was so preeettyy and really big :P Can't wait until I can actually watch a game there ^________^

Thursday, October 05, 2006

Bah... >_<

So WoW got its own South Park Episode T_T

*sniff* Well, EQ doesn't need a South Park episode, I mean, all that episode's gonna do is raise the population of immature fanbois on WoW T___T EQ's still better than WoW in my opinion... T__________________T

For example, where else would you find frogs riding unicorns?

Or really pretty dragons?

Or really pretty dragons eating frogs riding unicorns?

(Honestly, I was just bored and wanted to post random stuff. So...yeah...)

(Also, WHY DOES IT HAFTA RAIN EVERY TIME I GO TO THE SUPERMARKET??!!)

...

The End.

Enel's space adventure continues!

That's all -__-

Hissatsu Kyuun Sparkle Ray!

Chopperman so cute... O_O Although Sanjilops is hilarious too :P They should make Obahan Time next

For some reason, I never have an umbrella on me when it starts to rain -_- Sure, I have it with me when it's all sunny and nice, but never when it rains. Stupid rainy weather -_-

Hmmm...not much work to do yet, seeing as how this is only the second day of classes. I should start reading stuff for next Tuesday though, I guess -_- The good thing is that I've decided to go to Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Friday :D Both the box office and the Arsenal Megastore (Note: *droooools*) will be open ^.^ Then, there's a tour of Stonehenge on Sunday :D Not sure exactly why I wanna go look at a bunch of standing rocks, but...er...it'll be...interesting...yeah...

EDIT: OMG USB HAMSTER WHEEL O_O

Addicted to YouTube

Here's a video of van Persie's goal from yesterday :D Still wish I wasn't sitting at the other end of the field... -_-

Saturday, September 30, 2006

*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

YAY! ARSENAL VS. CHARLTON!!! ARSENAL WON 2-1!!! I GOT TO WATCH IT (in the Charlton fans' section, but oh well)!!!!

So the match started at 3:00, but we got there at about 2:40-ish, cause our program director told us to arrive early. So because we were early, we got to watch the players warming up :D

Note: <---- Charlton on this side, Arsenal XD ------>

But then, it was time for them to go back into their dressing rooms to get ready for the match...

(they go into the white tube/tunnel thing)

Then, at 3:00, they came out again, with Arsenal in their yellow jerseys.

From the front of the Arsenal line, the players are Thierry Henry (#14, the captain *DONNNN*), Jens Lehmann (1, the goalie), Fredrik Ljungberg (8, aka Freddie!), Gilbeto Silva (19), Aliaksandr Hleb (13), Justin Hoyte (31), Cesc Fabregas (4), Emmanuel Eboue (27, a little off to the right there), William Gallas (10, Yay, kinda-recent signing!), Robin van Persie (11), and Kolo Toure (5)

After all the players shook hands, the match finally started! And...Charlton scored first -_-

*PHOTO NOT FOUND*

Then, van Persie got a yellow card for what appeared to be a gentle swipe of the leg at a Charlton player...from my utterly biased view from the other end of the field...But yeah, van Persie got a yellow card. The Charlton fans were shouting for the ref to "Send him off" the field by giving him a red card, but the ref just gave him a yellow.

Which musta really pissed off the Charlton fans when van Persie scored a few minutes later :P Which, of course meant that Arsenal were back in the game XP

*omg lookit teh big screen tv!!!1!!1* (Too busy watching goal being scored to take pic of goal being scored)

Afterwards, it was half time. But after half time, the action continued...

Here's Lehmann getting ready as a Charlton player races towards the Arsenal goal.

Then, van Persie scored again. It was a really good goal, but I didn't get to see much of it, since I was on the other side of the field T_T

Again, no pics of actual goal cause I was watching it.

So Arsenal won 2-1, thanks to van Persie's 2 goals :D Also found out at the end of the game that Chelsea tied 1-1 with Aston Villa. HA! Arsenal shall overtake you soon, Chelsea!!! Bwahahahahaha...

*ahem* And this has been another edition of my rants that nobody actually pays attention to. Good night.

Random YouTube videos I found today

I found these, so now I shall share the horror...er, I mean, humor...

Charlie the Unicorn (stupid unicorn voice stuck in head after this one)

Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series (I've never seen an episode of the real Yu-Gi-Oh, but this parody's still funny...more Here)

Nothing much to add, except that THE CLASS REGISTRATION SYSTEM HERE SUCKS (well, for study abroad students, at least). *ahem* I woke up at 7:30 this morning to go to a class I can no longer attend because the professors found out today, in class, that there were too many people enrolled in it. After I had spent 2 days trying to contact the person who could approve me for this class. After this person assured me that they would approve me for this class. I'm not bitter -_-

Just a little warning, you might wanna skip the next part(s) if you don't like long, semi-confusing rants.

It should be noted, that I was actually on time to this class. In fact, I was early. I took the effort to get up early and get there on time, dammit. Many others, however, were not on time. Many others showed up 10, 15, even 30 minutes late. Yet they probably get to stay in the class because they are not study abroad students. I get kicked out. Again, I am NOT bitter.

It should also be noted that no one told me that I got kicked out. I had to find out on the class registration website. Even after someone assured me that I could be in the class, this someone did not even have the courtesy to send me an email telling me that something was wrong.

Anyways, I spent the afternoon walking around campus trying to enroll in a new class. It was a lot of walking, due to...registration difficulties, aka the crappy system they have here. The one where you must get each department's approval (in person) before registering for a course, and you must get your main department to help you change anything in your course registration, once you applied for courses the first time (trust me, even the add/drop forms were easier).

Oh well...the rest of the day was okay. I bought some nice stationary. And I saw a border collie. It was a cute puppy. I like border collies ^.^

Plus I get to see Arsenal vs. Charlton tmw :D

But how does he breathe? O_o

New One Piece chapter came out, and (since this doesn't have anything to do with the current storyline, I will say it) it was revealed that Enel has landed on the moon O_O

That's pretty impressive, considering that he was travelling on a self-powered boat made of wood and gold. Also considering that it's been 2 weeks, max, since he set off from Skypiea (Note: 2 weeks OP time = 2.5 years real time - Enel leaving Skypiea was published before March 2004 -_-).

Wednesday, September 27, 2006

Soon...

Soon, I will be able to watch Arsenal play against Charlton...soon... I got my ticket today from the study abroad program director, and it's very pretty and shiny ^.^ I'm almost sad enough to take a picture of it, but I won't :P

But before I can do that, I hafta go to class on Friday. At 9:00 in the morning -__- Oh well...

I changed some stuff on the blog and added more banners, though :D

EDIT: Hmmm...I got bored, so let's try embedding some YouTube videos! Parodies of the Leeroy Jenkins video, to be exact :P

Leeroy Luffy (mild OP spoilers, nothing much though)

Colbert vs. Leeroy Jenkins

I am THAT bored O_O

*Waiting for classes to start...*

Finally moved in to my dorm room in London, and I took some pics. This is my desk and bed area:

And my *sniff* glorious bathroom, the one that I have *sniff* all to myself <3>

And finally, my view of a very nice building across the street :D :

Now I just hafta get classes sorted out before they start next week :P
